Chapter I — the economics
Why a return route costs less.
A dedicated transport pays for every mile twice — the trip to you, and the empty drive back. On a return route, the van was making the journey anyway: you only share miles that were already paid for.
Dedicated trip 2 × 199 mi paid
outbound loaded + return empty — you pay for both
Return route on Temise 1 × 199 mi shared
the outbound was someone else's job — you only share the return
Chapter II — the balance sheet
Three sides. One full van.
The same filled return pays the client, the company and the planet.
−40%up to · vs dedicated trip
Clients save real money

−80 kgCO₂ per filled return*
Everyone cuts CO₂
Every filled return is a dedicated round trip that never happens — fewer vans on the road doing the same work.
≈400 g CO₂/mi × 199 mi typical corridor
How it works
From published route to awarded job.
Three moves. The route is a bonus that puts the right company first in line — the Temise rules never change.
-
Step 01 · 30 seconds
Companies publish routes
— from, to, date and free capacity. It takes 30 seconds.
-
Step 02 · from the board
You request transport
— from the board (pre-filled) or normally; companies driving your corridor (±3 days) are invited first.
-
Step 03 · same rules
Normal Temise rules apply
— blind price ranking, contacts unlocked on confirmation, verified reviews, numbered award document.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
* Estimate: 3.5-tonne van ≈ 400 g CO₂/mi × ~199 mi average corridor. Indicative, not a certified figure.
Does using a route cost me anything extra?
No. Requesting quotes is free and identical to any Temise request — the route only means a company with near-zero marginal cost is invited first, which usually means better prices for you.
What if my dates don't match a route exactly?
Routes match within ±3 days of your desired date. And your request always goes to matching transport companies too — the route is a bonus, never a limitation.
How is the CO₂ estimate calculated?
A 3.5-tonne van emits ≈400 g CO₂/mi. On a typical 199 mi corridor, a filled return replaces a dedicated round trip — avoiding roughly 80 kg of CO₂. Real savings depend on distance and vehicle; we label all estimates.
I'm a transport company — what does publishing cost?
Nothing. Routes are free (up to 10 active), quoting is free, and you only ever pay a small success fee when a client picks you and you confirm — waived during launch.
